Thailand’s Deep South (Pattani, Yala, Narathiwas) has a history of social tension. Chumchon Harapan (Community of Hope) projects, funded by USAID and led by Kenan Foundation Asia, aimed to bridge divides by creating opportunities for cooperation and understanding, ultimately leading to greater social harmony.
Over 12 years, the projects fostered:
– Social Cohesion
Building trust and cooperation between diverse communities.
– Youth Leadership
Working alongside universities to empower youths as community connectors, innovators, and leaders.
– Peaceful Future
Implementing programs to reduce division and promote sustainable peace in the regions.
This video explores the projects’ successes and their lasting impact on the region.
